Amber is a certified speech-language pathologist with nearly 20 years experience working with adults with neurogenic speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. Amber graduated from Ball State University in 2000 with a Bachelors Degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, and a minor in Counseling Psychology. She then continued at Ball State University and received her Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology in 2003.
Amber holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), is a member of ASHA and ASHA's Neurogenic Communication Disorders Special Interest Group, and is licensed by the Ohio Board of Speech Language Pathology.
Amber has received specialized certifications and trainings to provide intensive therapies for speech, swallowing, cognition and dementia care including the LSVT LOUD Lee Silverman Voice Treatment program, McNeil Dysphagia Therapy Program, the BCAT Approach for assessing and working with people with people with have memory and cognitive impairments, and dementia care.
Amber has 2 grown children, 3 demanding cats, and a turtle named Turbo. She enjoys reading, learning, paddle boarding, hiking, and trying to keep her houseplants alive.
