Owner, Speech & Language Pathologist

Amber is a certified speech-language pathologist with over 22 years of experience working with adults with neurogenic speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments.  Amber graduated from Ball State University in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, and a minor in Counseling Psychology.  She then continued on at Ball State University and received her master's degree in Speech Language Pathology in 2003.

Amber holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), is a member of ASHA and ASHA's Neurogenic Communication Disorders Special Interest Group, and is licensed by the Ohio Board of Speech Language Pathology.

Amber has received specialized certifications and trainings to provide intensive therapies for speech, swallowing, cognition and dementia care including the LSVT LOUD Lee Silverman Voice Treatment program, McNeil Dysphagia Therapy Program, the BCAT Approach for assessing and working with people with people with have memory and cognitive impairments, and Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST).

She was awarded an ASHA ACE Award for Continuing Education in May, 2026. The award identifies individuals who have made a "personal, concerted, effort to continue professional learning beyond an academic degree." 

Amber has 2 grown children, the cutest grandson, a demanding cat, and a turtle named Turbo.  She enjoys reading, learning, painting, paddle boarding, traveling, and trying to keep her houseplants alive.
