Therapy is provided in your home in order to provide better patient focused treatment and outcomes. You will be asked to have a table, free from clutter, with adequate lighting and possibly specific desired food items if we are working on swallowing.
What areas do you serve?
Therapy is provided in your home throughout Darke County. Telehealth is available throughout Ohio.
How do I know if my insurance covers speech therapy?
Traditional Medicare requires a 20% copay for speech therapy. If you do not have traditional Medicare, we encourage you to call your insurance company and inquire about out-of-network benefits for speech therapy. You will be responsible for any charges not covered by your insurance. Here are some important questions to ask:
1. Are out-of-network-speech therapy services covered under my plan?
2. Are my diagnosis (ICD -10) and treatment codes (CPT) covered? We can help you determine what codes apply to you.
3. Are there any codes or conditions excluded from my coverage?
4. Do I need a prescription for speech therapy?
5. Do I need a pre-certification or pre-authorization for speech therapy coverage?
6. Can I be reimbursed for out-of-pocket speech therapy services? If so, what is the reimbursement rate? What do I need to do or submit to obtain reimbursement?
7. How many speech therapy services are covered per calendar year?
8. Is speech therapy covered if it is provided in my home or via telehealth?
What are your hours?
This is a mobile practice, without a brick and mortar location. We are available by phone or email Monday- Friday 10:00a.m - 6 p.m. We are closed all Federal Holiday's and December 24 - Jan 1.
What can I expect prior to and at the time of evaluation?
You will be asked to fill out and submit paperwork including a medical history and various consent forms prior to confirming your evaluation appointment to allow us to prepare for your unique needs. The comprehensive evaluation can last from 45 - 90 minutes depending on the areas being assessed and complexity. Upon completion of the the evaluation, we will work together on creating personalized, meaningful goals and a treatment plan and frequency that works best for you.
What do I need in order to participate in telehealth?
You can use a smartphone or tablet, however, a laptop or desktop computer is preferrable so that you can be hands free and clearly see the therapist. You must have a strong Wi-Fi or internet connection for the best possible visit. When using a laptop or desktop computer, make sure you have a web camera and the ability to use audio speakers and a microphone. A printer will be helpful to print out provided treatment materials if needed. Lastly, depending on what you are working on in speech therapy, you may need someone there with you to help facilitate and provide additional information to the therapist.
What are your fees?
Fees vary depending on the therapy provided. Please see the Pricing tab for more details.
How often/how long will I have therapy?
Treatment frequency and length of time will be dependent on your goals, participation, and progress. Consistent participation is required to maximize your treatment effectiveness and gains. You can stop at any time.
Is there an attendance policy?
Attendance and participation in therapy along with complete compliance with any associated home programs, are essential for therapeutic success.
All cancellations must be submitted 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. A fee of $30.00 will be assessed if the cancellation is made less than 24 hours in advance or if the client fails to show for a scheduled appointment. This fee will be billed directly to the client and not their health insurance company, as medical insurance does not provide coverage for missed sessions. You will be provided one "freebie" in the case of an unexpected event requiring cancellation of your appointment.
If you reschedule / are late for 3 scheduled appointments within 30 days, Progress Neuro LLC will reserve the right to discharge the client. Additionally, if you arrive late for a scheduled appointment, the session will still end at the scheduled time or may be cancelled.
If you fail to appear for an appointment (no show) without providing the appropriate advance notification for 3 or more appointments within 30 days, the office will reserve the right to cancel all pending appointments and to no longer offer services to you as a client.
